If being a mum to three precious little boys and wife to an encouraging, supportive husband isn’t busy and rewarding enough, I also share my time with my buisness and constantly making hand made things for my family.

How long have you been in business?

I started late 2007, but have had a few stops and starts due to adding to our family. I hope to get the buisness going properally this year.

What made you decide to start your own business?

I enjoyed scrapbooking for myself, and decieded to offer my items to other people who werent able to scrapbook for themself. I was preparing some photo frames and diaries for the markets, and asked a few friends about what prices they would pay, and the orders started, I havent had time to finish the market stock as I have been focusing on all the online set up.

What strategies do you use to keep yourself motivated?

I love doing it, so I dont think I need much motivation there.

Do you have a current product or promotion running?

My prices are always reasonably priced, however i do have special offers running at different times. The best way to be notified of these, would be to join my mailing list.

What makes your business/products unique?

The fact they are all handmade, makes it hard for me to even create two items the same. I like to see good old fashioned handmade gifts coming back in, so I hope other people like that, that is what my buisness offers.

How do you keep the balance between family and work?

I try not to pressure myself with orders, my family comes first, and I create when I can.

My husband is very supportive, and if I do need a little extra time to create, he is more then happy to let me lock myself in my art room while he soley entertains the children.

If it is something you love, just give it a go.
